Monday 13 November Make Your Mark Challenge
Revealed online across the nation at 9.00am, the 2006 Make Your Mark Challenge is a one-day enterprise competition designed to kick-start imaginations and unleash creativity. Working in small teams, students will have just one day to complete the Make Your Mark Challenge before presenting their ideas back to fellow students and teachers. Each school must submit their winning team's entry by 1pm Wednesday November 15. Judges will select 20 teams to attend one of the eleven Regional Finals later in November. Tuesday 14 November Ideas at Work Day New for 2006, this is a day dedicated to innovation in the workplace. Hundreds of organisations from across the UK are encouraging their employees particularly those aged under 30 to have ideas and make them happen in the workplace.
Wednesday 15 November Women's Enterprise Day This is a day for showcasing the achievements of young women in business and encouraging them to be more enterprising all year round. This year, women's organisations all over the UK are hosting events and activities to profile successful female entrepreneurs and inspire new female talents with the confidence and know-how to do the same. Thursday 16 November Social Enterprise Day This day is set aside for a celebration of existing initiatives to inspire young entrepreneurs to build new socially or environmentally conscious enterprises.
Friday 17 November SpeedNetwork the Nation This year will see the first ever national 'speednetwork', a fast paced exchange of ideas and contacts, where you talk to someone different every five minutes. Speednetwork the Nation will last for just one hour starting at noon, with hundreds of simultaneous events across the country.
