1- or 2-Day Workshops Available
One of the main goals of post-16 education is to help young people learn marketable skills that will prepare them for future employment. In this fast-paced teacher training workshop, business ownership is offered as a hands-on, real-world method of helping students develop employable skills and enterprise capability.
Emphasis is placed on activities and teaching tools that help students discover their interests, talents and entrepreneurial abilities while learning practical business skills and developing an understanding of business operation. Whether students eventually start a business or seek employment, the financial and business skills they learn through this curriculum will provide them with numerous options for the future.
Participants will...
- Learn how to engage students in a hands-on, activity-based entrepreneurship and enterprise capability study that teaches the steps of a business start-up.
- Prepare to guide students as they identify feasible business ideas, do research, write business plans, create marketing materials, set up record-keeping systems and locate their first customers.
- Identify specific teaching tools and classroom activities for making their school’s entrepreneurship education programme exciting and successful.
