Financial Literacy Course for Students Aged 12-16
This workbook-style curriculum prepares teenagers to save money wisely, invest for the future, avoid debt, and be smart consumers. The easy-to-understand lessons help students set financial goals, create personal budgets, compare bank services, and explore a variety of ways to save and invest for the future.
The Practitioner's Guide provides special projects and supplemental activities for teaching courses from 10 to 30 hours in duration. Detailed lesson plans provide instructions to deliver a balanced financial literacy course that teaches students to earn, save, spend, and invest wisely. Every lesson includes objectives, hands-on activities, financial terms, research projects and more.

Money Skills Alignment: The Money Skills classroom curriculum is aligned to the Finance Strand of PSHE and Citizenship for Key Stages 3 and 4. It is also mapped to Part A of the Key Skills and Wider Key Skills and allows schools the additional flexibility to provide a programme of Work Related Learning, emphasising financial capability. This curriculum supports the aims of Every Child Matters by teaching essential skills necessary for students to achieve economic well-being in the future.

Money Skills Teacher Training

Discover how to empower students with financial skills, habits, and long-term thinking that will help them learn to save, invest, and manage money as well as prepare for greater financial independence.
From the basics of budgeting to opening bank accounts, to the challenge of selecting investments and creating a financial portfolio, this one or two-day workshop provides tools, lesson plans, and activities that make financial concepts easy to understand and fun to teach.
Participants receive the YoungBiz Money Skills Practitioner's Guide and Student's Guide. This rewarding workshop provides classroom activities, teaching techniques, resources, and ideas for research projects and guest speakers that will engage students and make your personal finance course a fun and rewarding experience.
Upon completion of this teacher training workshop, teachers are certified to teach the YoungBiz Money Skills curriculum in their schools.
